Argentina: legislative elections 2013

We repost the statement of the LOI-CI on the Argentinian elections. Notwithstanding our differences with this organisation, we are in solidarity with its stand to call for a vote for worker candidates on a class struggle platform. We also agree with the LOI-CI characterisation of the Left Front as standing on a reformist program. You can find an abbreviated Spanish version here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Statement of the Trotskyist of LOI-CI Democracia Obrera facing PASO (initials in Spanish for Open Compulsory and Simultaneous Primary Elections)

With the electoral circus, the boss parties of the bankers and the transnational companies count the votes so that they can see how to share the business.
The workers will expect more repression, inflation, sufferings and attacks against their conquests
Enough with maquilas (sweatshops) and jail factories!
Out from Argentina and the continent the Wall Street’s bankers and transnational companies!
Our call for a class Independence vote against the boss parties

Argentina is a country where the government gets income tax from the workers. This tax is much higher than inflation. This is in order to maintain the capitalist parasites. This is not all; Argentina is a country of sweatshops and jail factories, more than 60% of the working class lives with the small amount of $3000. Argentina is Bangladesh. Thus, the factories’ walls fell down slaughtering textile workers who earn 2 dollars per day.
In Argentina, millions of workers work as slave in clandestine worships, paid under the table, also picking veggies and fruit. Here, in Pompeya (neighborhood of Buenos Aires Capital), as it happened some years ago in Tunisia, a worker was exposed so she was heard, so she could get her wages and not be dismissed as it happened in the textile factory ELEMENTOS. We die as dogs, and when we go to work, in the terrible trains under the control of the parasite bosses, who even contract mercenaries to kill fighters as it happened with Mariano Ferreira.
We even have to live with slaughtering-floods as happened in La Plata. They still hide dozens of dead to ease the political responsibility of the boss politicians. The migrant workers try to choose delegate and the murderer bosses with the the police kill them and make them disappear as in Choele Choel (Rio Negro) happened with Solano. His family still demands justice and demands his son appears alive camping in the area. When the workers rise up against precarious work and income tax the government militarize the town, torture the workers and put them imprisoned as the fighters, the oil workers of Las Heras.
When immigrant workers can no longer afford anything else because 50% of their wages is to pay a cardboard-roofed room in a shanty town then we occupy a piece of land and the government kill us as it happened in Indoamericano o Ledesma Park, or we are shoot on highways as Fuentealba in Neuquen.
Thousands of young people are doomed, no future nor education or a job, with an extermination policy with paco (drug) and the easy-trigger by the murderous police forces.
And on top of all this, the full time workers are charged the income tax. This is used to subsidize the capitalist companies. They get reduction of taxes in the industrial parks located in Mercosur. They are subsidized to steal money, to the transport companies. But the deduction of income is not the only tax to the worker wage. Most of us paid with our wages the VAT, which is 21% to what we consume. 350,000 million per year are collected with VAT to keep a handful of capitalist parasites and huge profit of bankers and transnational companies.
Kirchnerism and the right wing opposition are representatives and managers of Wall Street in Argentina, of that 1% of parasites, who from New York plunder and sink the world into misery, barbarism and wars. They decide the price of oil. With the land oligarchy, Monsanto, Cargill and huge cereal food companies defined prices. They need slave workers for the maquila Argentina.

With its transnational companies formed MERCOSUR to evade taxes, to exploit the comparative advantages of each country, to enslave workers, to steal the Bolivian oil and gas, minerals of the Andes. They agreed FTA and took all the minerals in Peru and Chile to its companies in China. They installed maquilas in Mexico to sink the wages of US workers, as in Africa and Asia; they filled Latin America, as in Colombia with military bases.
In Argentina, we see how the cereal companies like Cargill and Monsanto, banks and multinationals and the native oligarchy as a junior partner keep 80% of U$S 40,000 million from the land income.

Reserve Dollars go to Wall Street because with them is paid the Argentine bonuses of the foreign debt. The government keeps paying with fresh dollar the bonds which the banks got in the crisis of 2001 at the value of 1 peso 1 dollar, while the Wall Street parasites steal, with a devaluation of 40%, the savings of people. They stole the people more than 50 billion dollars, expropriating their savings.
16 billion dollars come out of the country on payment of bonds, and 6.000 million dollars in royalties, profits and patents to the transnational companies of Wall Street. The government wants to make happy the workers with a netbook which most of their children will never use it, and with alms as the universal child allowance, which does not even reach to cover 30% of children needs, while the worker women are denied to have free childcare and get paid a salary 30% lower than the workers.
THERE WON`T BE SOLUTION FOR ARGENTINA NEITHER FOR THE OPPRESED NATIONS OF LATIN AMERICA IF WE DON’T KICK OUT WALL STREET AND THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL OLIGARCHY.
THE WORKERS MUST BREAK WITH THE POLITICAL FRONT MAN OF THE IMPERIALIST BANKERS, AS WELL AS THE POLITICIANS OF KIRCHNER GOVERNMENT AND THE RIGHT WING OPPOSITION. In U.S.A these bands of Wall Street have taken to ruin the US working class making them pay for the crisis. Imperialist Europe bankers associated with Wall Street stealing, looting and in bankruptcy today they are destroying all the conquest of workers in the continent.

Yesterday Bush invaded and destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan to keep the oil and opium routes, which are the spurces of large medical laboratories. The Chevron in Argentina is another business of Wall Street and its oil companies to plunder the nation.

They plunder the tormented Africa and want to transform the world into a great Foxconn, a company that in China manufactures IPOD and Hewlett Packard, with 300 000 slave workers in a real factory which is a prison, with fences, railings and bedrooms on the ground. They want to impose that to the world.
When the workers upsurge against the mines of the Anglo-American in Africa, they shoot us. When we fight for bread, they cause genocide as in Syria and repressed us as in Tunisia. In Argentina when workers revolted, as happened in Kraft few years ago, Warren Buffet picked up the phone, 8 blocks away from Wall Street and sent the police forces and their lackeys of Kirchner’s government to beat up the workers. They and oil companies have decided to give a lesson to the oil workers of Las Heras for leading the fight against the earning tax and against outsourced work.
From Wall Street, a world financial oligarchy has spent, consumed and stolen what the world human labor has not even produced yet. And today, they put the burden of the crisis to the working class and the people they oppress.

With a web of investments and control of stakes of 1300 transnational companies are the core of the world economy and form, from Wall Street, where the imperialist banks of European and Japanese link with a financial super-oligarchy. They control 150 companies, 50% of the wealth of the planet. International finance capital concentrated holds 80% of the wealth in the world and have left 1,200 million people living with less than U$S 2 a day. These parasites rule and got the core of the economy, industries and finances of Argentina and Latin America, among others on every continent.
The last decade of this democracy for the riches in Argentina was a Paradise for the car companies, the soy producers, Cargill, Monsanto, Chevron, IMF and the parasites of Wall Street and it was a hell for the workers and the poor people
The revolutionary socialists are going to tell the truth to the workers: we cannot confront and defeat the attack we suffer today in Argentina, stealing our wages, slave labor, and the theft of the nation from a parliamentary seat. We call not to believe this. We cannot be fooled anymore. We are facing an enemy that controls the world politics and economy and has recruited hundreds of paid agents, union bureaucrats and labor leaders to defend it from the mass revolutionary struggle.

Workers need in the enemy's ground, which is the parliament (a true notary's Wall Street), a brave anti imperialist parliamentary seat. We need workers and revolutionary member of parliament who can tell to the workers that such an economic, political and military power rules the world, oppresses us and exploits the working class (even same or worse than us in Europe and U.S.A) would be defeated fighting in the streets, organizing ourselves, getting rid of the union bureaucracy (paid with crumbs falling from the exploitation of the working class).

We confront Wall Street and their political bosses fighting with our class brothers in Brazil and as the Chilean youth, as the Lonmin workers did in Africa with pickets and strike committees. With insurrections and uprisings for bread and against starvation as in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and as the exploited masses of Syria are doing against the genocide carried on by Wall Street and as the Palestinian masses, today tormented and imprisoned by the fascist Zionist state of Israel ... which is the armed wing of Wall Street in Middle East.

We defeat Wall Street and their transnational companies as we always do it: fighting and defending our conquests in the streets. This was the way we ended with the Menem, with murderers of De la Rua and Duhalde and so we fought against this lackey government, disguised who never gets tired of repressing the people and sells out the nation to imperialism. Such is the case that they submit to the courts of New York.
It is necessary to tell the truth: that cave of bandits of Wall Street who are the real owners of Argentina will be defeated fighting with the international working class and with the socialist revolution. We have to kick them out as we did it in 2002… this time so they do not come back ever again!
The left currents in Argentina who are running in these elections want to hide this. They are telling us that voting and with a parliamentary seat we will resolve our problems, their members are tired of submitting laws for workers and only may present testimony of what this parliament, the house of the capitalists, has given to the exploited ones: nothing. We always get everything with the fight or as a consequence of this.

We must tell the truth: you cannot talk on May Day about the international unity of the workers and when you have access to television, hide the "international unity" under the carpet or to make silence about the genocide in Syria and make silence that the Palestinian masses are being slaughtered. They cannot talk about the class struggle of Brazil without calling the Argentinean workers that we must fight together and like them.
In Brazil the parliamentary left is confronted by hundreds of people in the country and now millions of exploited ones have taken into their hands their problems, because the reformist left of the Lula's PT and all those who supported him over the years from the unions, were all lackeys of Wall Street and capitalists. We must tell the workers the truth. There are millions in the streets for 20 days and they reduced the bus fare from 3.20 to 3 reales. This shows that only fighting for everything and in tough battles we can get the least. So how are you going to make the Argentine workers believe that with laws we can solve our problems, making illusions in this rotten democracy for the rich?

They talk about the class struggle in Brazil, but they do not tell the workers of auto-industry and auto-parts, and food chains, of cement, which are on both sides of the border, that we have to organize in common unions, in coordinating common struggle, as the capitalists do and organize for their business and centralize their attack against the workers in Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires, in Minas Gerais and in Cordoba, Rosario and Porto Allegre.

From FIT, from some of its semi-hidden advert, they said we have to fight like in Egypt. Some of the leaders of the left said that. But in Egypt the masses fight, as in Tunisia and Libya, this rotten democracy for the rich who expropriated the struggle for bread to the heroic revolutions of the oppressed peoples of North Africa and Middle East.
The Left Front cannot occasionally talk about the classism and '70 and name with those pompous names its union groups and not to tell the Argentinean working class in this election that to defeat the exploiters and end the income tax, not to mention the unemployment and contract conditions, it is necessary to fight like in Cordobazo, follow the path to the general strike as the Rodrigazo, occupy the factories and set up a Villazo and set up the workers coordinations as in the '70s, getting rid of the union bureaucracy and take the streets as in 2001, with the general strike, the pickets.

Only the workers carrying on this fight could get some conquests, albeit totally degraded. Thus we got, do not forget, the six hours for the subway workers, maintain factories under worker-control and even the miserable work allowance given by the state. They all were a consequence of heroic struggles that left in the streets the martyrs of Anibal Veron, Kostequi, Santillan, Teresa Rodriguez, etc.
Today workers are worse because in the revolution that we began in 2001 we did not take power and ... "became all of them came back": bloodsuckers of political bosses, their judges and murderous army men, and union bureaucrats. All of them, when we took the streets could not face the rebellious masses. That's what they – the ones that have been expropriating our revolution, getting rich and killing the poor people for 10 years - deserve the masses rise up again.
Boss Politicians cheat with the electoral trap to disorganize the workers so the workers do not believe in their own strength and struggle, to prepare future and better attacks against their conquests. While television is filled with the faces of the Argentinean left politicians, in none of their advertisements are the faces of the workers who are imprisoned in Corral de Bustos or Bariloche, or submitted to vengeance courts as the oil workers of Las Heras.

The left leads the workers on their lists, but they do not say that we have hostages in prisons and in courts of the capitalists, the left does not say that the bourgeoisie has decided to put in jail thousands of workers who have fought as in Las Heras, as in Tierra del Fuego, as in the Garrahan, Kraft, Bus Line 60 and in hundreds of battles across the country.
For socialists we use the elections as an electoral platform to tell the truth to the workers and people, not to create more illusions and deceptions than the illusions propel by the political bosses. As the revolutionary socialists say:
THE LIBERATION OF THE WORKERS WILL COME FROM THE WORKERS THEMSELVES!
FIT has abandoned this issue because it thinks everything will work without a struggle, without a brutal war between the capitalists and their states against the workers. But in Argentina, colony of Wall Street, without major class struggle there will be no place to start recovering the salary, or end the income tax, nor to get decent work and to prevent the imperialist pirates plunder our nation.
The revolutionary socialists do not believe the siren songs of the Bolivarian revolution - a genuine imposture of revolution. In 2003 Castro’s brothers, Chavez and Morales came to say that we should support Kirchner. Today they sell out the socialist Cuba to the imperialism with 500,000 laid-off workers, with luxury hotels for the world bourgeoisie, and giving to the children of bureaucrats the right of inheritance to have private property. Maduro and Morales repress the workers and attack with inflation and devaluation the workers. In Argentina, Kirchner’s government represses and kills workers with almighty judges, supported by bankers to imprison and suppress the workers.
We must say enough: Enough of Wall Street! Enough with the maquila Argentina! We must expropriate without compensation the transnational companies and expel imperialism in order to eat and live with dignity!
Against the ones that are for the nation, and are against to be a colony and support Kirchner government, lackey of imperialism, the revolutionary socialists say that:
ARGENTINA WILL BE SOCIALIST OR WILL BE A COLONY

It seems incredible but the left of the system has given up to any anti imperialist struggle because it left aside the struggle for the socialist revolution as an immediate and urgent task of the exploited.
As revolutionary socialism posed in the electoral processes, the masses question, even in the enemy ground and in a distorted way, the problem of power. The left of the system has suggested that they are for a left alternative to workers and to fill many seats with left deputies to help workers' struggles. What about power? Do they call the working class to take power, to make a revolution to overthrow the bourgeois regime and this brutal dictatorship of capital under parliamentary forms? The left has banned the struggle for workers' socialist revolution in the elections of 2013.

We must fight like in Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and Brazil! Fight alongside Syrian workers and fight with workers picketing as Marikana mines in South Africa and with the method of the general strike yesterday in Greece!
We have to say enough is enough and fight with the occupy movement that surround Wall Street shouting "we must expropriate 1% of the parasites that plunder the world", we must fight with the Indignados of Madrid who shouted "Our dreams do not fit in your polls"!
We must stand up again war cry of our revolution, 2001:
EVERYONE OUT, NOBODY LEFT!
To end the income tax, work in black and unemployment, for a minimum wage of $ 9,000 for all, with prices indexed to wages and not with the scoundrel Moreno. We must fight like in Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and Brazil! Resist as in Syria and fight with the worker pickets as in Marikana mines in South Africa and with the method of the general strike as it happened before in Greece!
Behind the smoke screen of the electoral campaign, the capitalist gangs dispute their business.

Enough with democracy for rich! Down with the arch-reactionary Constitution of 1853-1994!
The Argentinian left currents as FIT and MAS that match their program, have decided to follow the path of the Brazilian left, to assimilate to the oppressors’ regime and to make workers believe that their demands will be achieved with laws in the parliament of the executioners. In every fight they did not hesitate to take the fights to a dead end of the negotiations of the Ministries of Labour which is just a directory of human resources of the bosses against workers.

They have made the workers to believe that with left seats in parliament "we can eat, heal and have education" as Alfonsin said in the '80s, also they told the workers that there may be judges who make progressive, democratic and historical resolutions for the workers when they always defend the private property of capitalists and only make some concession when it is useful for the capitalists to defend themselves from an attack of the oppressed ones.

The trial and punishment to all the killers and military men is gone from FIT program, their only enemy and repressor seems to be the genocide Milani. Bergoglio, the Argentinean Pope seems to have blessed them all and the expropriation of the property of the Church, the separation of the church from the state and de exposure to Bergoglio as a collaborator of the military dictatorship is not seen in any of the main adverts of FIT.

CEPRODH (as posted in the brochure presenting its meeting in Cordoba) posed the brutality, defending the Supreme Court, that anti worker policy of Kirchner’s government that calls to vote for board members of the judiciary who chosen by the judges "is a Bonapartist attack". This is constitution madness when the Supreme Court is the Bonapartist institution of the bourgeois state which s above all institutions of the state and is the guarantee -together with the army- when the democracy for the rich falls. Another sector of the left looks with sympathy the Kirchner politicians who careful respect the caste of judges, and only discusses, as the right wing opposition does, how many judges each of the bourgeoisie fractions have in order to share the business of Argentina.

There are no institution of this democracy for rich and the arch-reactionary Constitution of '53 where the leaders of this left have not given up.

The Trotskyists of Workers Democracy affirm:

Enough of democracy for the rich! Down with the arch-reactionary Constitution of '53 - '94!

Dissolution of the caste of judges, the real leaders of the police forces and the intelligence services, which are only to give orders to repress and slaughter the workers and the poor people!

Dissolution of the genocide officer caste of the Army Forces!

Dissolution of the damned murderous police, gendarmerie and all the repressive forces of the state! For watching worker and popular committees: the ones who can guarantee our safety are the workers! Trial and punishment to all the genocide military men and all the killer bosses from before and today! Worker and popular trials!

Out with the Ministry of Labour and its compulsory conciliations! Out with the Professional Associations Law with which the state uses it to regulate the workers` lives and the unions!

Hundreds of thousands of fighters and militant youth of Argentina go with FIT at a time when this has moved a giant step to the right.

FIT decided to water down and dress up this rotten democracy for the rich. They say that the working class can succeed without a revolutionary struggle, without preparing and organizing a general strike defeating the traitors of the union bureaucracy, is to call the workers to surrender to the capitalists who use this democracy for the rich to wrap the fiercest dictatorship of capital, covering up the brutal plundering of Wall Street.

Our call to make a class vote

The Argentinian left has abandoned all anti-capitalist banners and more and more puts in the background the militant worker organizations that support it Let’s defend the policy of class independence against the electoral circus and the bosses’ parties
In 2011, when the collapse of Wall Street was still fresh and the world working class was moving forward against the exploiters in Middle East, Europe and USA, FIT disguised as anti-capitalist. It sent greetings to the anti-capitalist movements of the world.

Now, its anti-capitalism become a program of immediate demands to be voted as laws in a Congress dominated by the bankers of Wall Street. Both yesterday and today, everything is fake. This is a Left that only wants a Parliamentary Seat desperately. This is why it reduces its program, adapts to the “common sense” of the rich middle class and “left” kirchnerists who it tries to seduce with its sweetness, even publicly or slyly to cut ballot (voting some members of its list and some members of other lists), like Altamira and PO are doing now. We just need to see the cover of their last paper and we can realize that they call to vote for Pitrola (leader of PO) in BA and Altamira in Capital and they get rid of senators list head by the PTS members. They aren’t even a real left front and they play hide and seek between them.

Now that FIT is sure that will pass the proscriptive percent of this primary elections, shamefully didn’t propose to MAS an unified fight to defeat proscription of the bourgeois regime, which they denounced yesterday.

In 2011 FIT said that they raise the banners, despite some of the candidates like Altamira called openly to vote for Kirchner for president and FIT candidates for the Parliament, that workers vote for workers and they said they fought for the class independence. Today, this practically disappeared as the axis of the electoral campaign and all the workers forces are to help the left politicians achieve a seat in the Parliament. An example of this is that they have liquidated the slogan of Left…. And workers Front. “Workers” have become a smaller word and is almost gone. FIT is almost breaking, not only breaking with a program but also with a policy of class Independence.

Not only this, they have refused to do a united meeting to unify a big number of fighters and workers shop stewards that FIT has among its ranks. Because this would prove the importance and the conditions that FIT has to set a Workers Front to fight. The workers of FIT have disappeared, they only fill their acts and complete their lists. They leave in the background worker fighters and it is one left the left politicians… fighting for a seat in the Parliament… deplorable.

An example of this issue is the meeting that gathered a hundred worker shop stewards in Northern Zone organized by PTS, while PO organized another meeting of worker organizations with SUTNA and CTA.
When we proposed the demand of the workers of Las Heras be part of a fight of the workers, PO not only divided the big forces of worker and militant organizations of Northern Zone, but also said that the fight for the freedom of the imprisoned workers of Las Heras divided the fight against the tax on wages, and stated this openly on its paper. How can divide the fight against the tax on wages with the demand for the freedom for those who started this heroic fight? We must unify more this fight, not only in Argentina but at international level with all the leaders and fighters of the working class prosecuted. Tge fight for the prisoners of Argentina is the fight to end the prosecution with Savas Masas (leader of Greek EEK), for the freedom of the anti-imperialist prisoners of Guantanamo and the 4,500 Palestine prisoners who are in the jails of Zionism.
PO convinced FIT of this policy. In the last demonstration to the House of Santa Cruz demanding the freedom of the comrades of Las Heras, except for a couple of left lawyers and small delegation of PTS, FIT missed the appointment.
Yesterday FIT said that any factory that closes or dismisses workers must be expropriated and nationalized, like Zanon. And now… there must be a law in the Parliament against dismissals and lay-offs. Pathetic. When the economic crisis reaches the semi-colonial world, we more than ever must fight as in Brukman and Zanon: occupy the bosses’ factories, without compensation and make them work under workers’ control.
After the elections, when FIT conquer many seats, the workers who took them to the elections will be fighting face to face with the bosses and union bureaucrats.
The Left Front, in the program concentrated of slogans that distribute massively call to vote for them, propose the nationalization and re-statization of privatized companies “under worker control”… and TNCs! They let aside the main question of a revolutionary socialist program that IT MUST BE DONE WITHOUT COMPENSATION.
Letting this question aside in the slogans that are seen by millions of workers means, by omission, calling to pay compensation in fact the capitalist companies in crisis; this is the program of Kirchner for Argentinean Airlines and for Repsol, and the program of Chavez for Techint. This is the program of Kichnertist left, to which Altamira dreams to receiving votes from. “They haven’t stopped to think” that this is Obama’s program of nationalizing some bankrupted banks of Wall Street. This is the program of nationalizing losses of capital while they always privatize profits.
It is crystal clear. The politicians of the left have decided, in order to get a seat in Parliament, not to scare Wall Street. Because let’s be clear, 90% of the lands, companies and banks of Argentina are under the guardianship and directs of Wall Street, London and Bundesbank. FIT forgot that in order to defend wages we must disregard the fake collective bargains of the traitors of the union bureaucracy, which is where they sell workers’ wages. IT IS WHERE UNION BUREAUCRACY SIGNS EVERY YEAR THE AGREEMENT OF THE TAX ON WAGES. FIT covers up that treacherous union bureaucracies like Moyano, both CGTs and CTA agree every year collective bargains, always lower than the inflation rate, which they sign a minimum wage of $3,000, which they accept dismissals and lay-offs and they sign the tax on wages.

This can be easily explained: if a union doesn’t sign a collective bargain that doesn’t includes the elimination of the tax on wages, then the working class would be in the best conditions to start an offensive to end with it.

Left places itself behind the bureaucracy, while the bureaucracy discusses which is the limit to start charging the tax on wages.

Only with annulling the fake collective bargains, disregard all the wage agreements and call the workers to prevent than any collective bargain be signed that includes the tax on wages and call to organize a big fight to open the road to achieve this demand.

FIT says that deputies must earn the same wage than a worker. But in order to do what FIT says, first all workers must have a job and earn at least $9.000. This means calling the working class to disregard the fake collective bargains of union bureaucracy.

Partido Obrero disciplined all the FIT’s members. Whoever think of calling to fight for the destruction of the Zionist fascist State of Israel and supports the Palestine Cause, is accused of provoker by its leadership, like happened with Convergencia Socialista, which was refuted for this reason from FIT’s lists and its candidate took a place in the list for a place given by PTS.

Izquierda Socialista, claimed defending the cause of the Syrian masses against killer Assad, has tens of tens of minutes on TV and radio to fight to defeat the fence to the Syrian masses killed and today remains in absolute silence on it. It is a front of the opportunist where whoever has more votes rules, the rest obey if they can get a seat. PTS has several spots where they express the militancy of their worker leaders. Unfortunately they can only be seeing in YouTube by the left layers of the voters who look around in the Internet. In the mean time, it shares the electoral drunkenness with their FIT partners.

In this elections, workers don’t have the best conditions to face the electoral trap of the establishment and Wall Street parties. This situation is not because of the working vanguard that put all its forces conquered in the combat against the bosses and the government to set up the “Left and Workers Front”, so this ends being a “Left Front”… where its leaders only fight for a seat and not to organize a unify those who fight, claiming, as a Marxist must do that “workers liberation is a job for the workers itself”.

More and more the day of the elections comes and more and more workers are moved to the background by FIT. Most of the prosecuted workers and their workmates will vote for FIT, some of them are in the scaffold of the videlist judges like in Santa Cruz. This is unacceptable. This situation can be reverted until October. FIT and MAS must call a militant workers’ public meeting headed by the prosecuted comrades so never again a worker be placed in the scaffold of TNC’s judges and them and the bosses politicians be the ones punished.

Call of the Trostkyists of Democracia Obrera to vote in the elections
Neither FPV, nor PJ, nor UCR, nor FAP, nor any other bosses politician…

Workers must not vote for Wall Street and slavering bosses candidates

From our program and anti-imperialist fight, taking the banners of revolutionary socialism that left abandoned long time ago, we call to vote critically to the organizations that represent the name of the working class in the elections. We call to vote, with this program and under these banners, critically the lists of FIT and MAS headed by worker shop stewards and fighters.
We call to vote for the left’s lists headed by worker fighters, because against them is concentrated the entire attack of the class enemy, after the votes and the electoral charade be over. Worker fighters will be with their rank and file and comrades fighting against capitalists and treacherous bureaucrats. Perhaps some left politician achieve a seat, but they wouldn’t have prepared the workers for the hard current and future combats. They have only said sweet statements to the ears of the working vanguard, when what is coming are new blows against workers by the government and oppressive forces.
Even though left politicians have place it in the background, their front was also “of workers”, in order to win some voters of the rich middle classes of kirchnerism: We, workers, vote for workers, not bosses.
This is why in CABA we call to vote for the shop steward Dellecarbonara (Subway worker) who belongs to the FIT’s lists as candidate to senator. We call to vote for comrade Muzlaz in Cordoba, who was dismissed in the fight of the workers of Somisa and FIAT in Cordoba, to comrade Alcides Christiansen in Neuquen, among others.
We feel that we must oppose to the policy of the left of the system called FIT, which tries to ingratiate itself with this regime of the democracy for the rich, a policy of fight for the political class independence, which are the minimum conditions that the working class needs to intervene in this electoral charade of deception and lie of the bosses politicians, front men of Wall Street bankers.
In those provinces where FIT lists aren’t head by working fighters, we call to vote or cut ballots for MAS, as vote to fight against proscriptions which mean PASO for the small currents of the working class who claim being socialistas and want to be known and win sectors of the masses with their programs.
It is urgent to set again on its feet the Internationalist Trotskyist Workers Party of Mateo Fossa and the Fourth international in Argentina

From Worker Democracy we will continue to fight for our revolutionary program because it is ever more clear to the vanguard of the Argentinean working class that it is necessary to set up a true revolutionary party in Argentina, beating the present “lefts” who have already and long ago adapted openly to this regime of democracy for the rich and the arch-reactionary 1853 / 1994 Constitution which regulates it.

Hundreds of thousands of workers and young people are looking for an alternative to overcome the oppression, exploitation and to take in their hands the solution of their problems. Hundreds of thousands of them will vote FIT; we do trust these rank and file workers. We know that from the entrails of the labor movement the vanguard will emerge of the next battles that should go the way of El Cordobazo, the Argentinean 2001 revolution and the massive struggles of the world working class as today in Egypt and Tunisia, as yesterday in Greece or Madrid, today in Bangladesh, in Chile and again in Bolivia, and of those fencing Wall Street.

The Argentine working class need to have again among its ranks a Trotskyist party as that which Mateo Fossa founded in the 1930s that never bowed to Stalinism or to the bourgeois regime lackey of imperialism, and this could be so because it was a truly militant party for the Fourth International. That's the fight that we are today continuing, the Trotskyists of Workers Democracy that we strive to rebuild our party: the Fourth International.

In that struggle we have put all our effort and energy. The new labor movement that this decade of delivery of the Kirchner of the oppressed nation to Wall Street bankers is giving birth to is looking at the struggles advanced by their class brothers and sisters all over the world against capitalist bankruptcy in huge revolutionary struggles. The reformist left adapted to the system throws sand over the eyes of the working class so that the workers don't see themselves as part of a single and unique world working class which is today taking decisive battles in Syria, China, Greece or as in Chile and Brazil, or as the indignant young do by fencing Wall Street.

A new labor movement is emerging in Argentina and should return to the path of El Cordobazo and Classism, learning from the revolutions that were expropriated from them in Argentina and Latin America; they must learn also how to fight, how to advance and retreat studying in the life book of the struggles of the masses in Africa and Europe. The generation of the ' 70s Cordobazo was a byproduct of huge struggles of the Argentine proletariat that had forged a huge experience of struggle in the Peronist resistance, which was shaped thousand and one times by the whip of capital, but also by the fire of the revolution burning from Mexico and the Southern Cone to the French May to the Prague Spring, to the uprising against the war in Viet Nam in United States, a revolutionary upsurge that shook the entire planet at a time.

In the current conditions this working class is maturing, under the influence of large international events, the imperialist crack, wars and revolutions and the whip of the capital that makes its existence unsustainable. The Trotskyist internationalists will not change our course. Not only we confronted counter-revolution at an international level in decisive battlefields on the planet, as in Maghreb and Middle East, in the Pacific, accompanying the workers’ combat from China to Japan to the martyred Africa in the very heart of the pickets of Marikana. We did not surrender in Latin America, fighting in Bolivia, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, etc. We have confronted and denounced the covenants of the Castro brothers delivering Cuba to imperialism and the Colombian resistance to the fascists paramilitaries of Santos Government and the US bases; we did not fall in the traps of the siren chants of the scam of "Bolivarian revolution" Governments, lackeys of imperialism as Chávez, Morales and Kirchner, not least oppressors of the workers than those imperialist agents, the FTA Governments.

A historical period of counter-reformism has opened. As revolutionary Marxists we remain steadfast in our fight because we know that in these and the next waves of the struggle of the proletariat, there will be a merger between us internationalists and the best elements of the vanguard of the world working class. Argentina will not be an exception.

A New Left Reformist Party?

What is going on here? Are McCarten, Bradford and Harawira going to found a New Left Party? What happened to the New Labour Party that morphed into the Alliance? Will a new NLP be based in the unions? It looks like Unite Union national secretary McCarten had a new party in mind when he stood as a candidate in Mana. Only the unions have the base to put up candidates to the left of Labour but most unions support Labour. Yet McCarten wasn’t nominated by his union base, he nominated himself. What’s the bet that a NLP will also be founded without any attempt to form a mass base?

McCarten can probably rely on the Unite membership base, but Bradford and Harawira are not currently involved in unions. Will a New Left Party go down the same parliamentary road as the old New Labour Party trying to push Labour to the left? The New Labour Party failed, and so will a New Left Party. McCarten got around 3.5% of the Mana vote. We don’t give critical support to another attempt to create a New Labour Party that says NZ capitalism can be reformed. It will become the tail of the Labour parliamentary dog. We want a workers’ party with a socialist program that only uses parliament only as a forum and a sounding board to expose it as a sham and to raise the banner of the socialist revolution.

Recycling 19th century reformist illusions

The Labour left on The Standard blog is pushing for a ‘new economy.’ What’s new? Touting 19th century Fabian solutions for the 21st century? How are these different from the Fabianism that was the ideology of parliamentary socialism in Britain? Trotsky identified Fabian intellectuals as the ideologists of the British Labour Party in the 1930s. In NZ Fabianism arrived in NZ in the 1890s. W.P. Reeves was a Fabian. State management of the economy was necessary in a young colony since the market was hardly formed. The land had to be converted into private property via state dispossession. The biggest theft of Maori land occurred under the watch of the Liberal Party Fabians. Workers had to be regulated into a labour market via the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, later called ‘Labour’s leg-iron’ by Harry Holland. It was W.P. Reeves’ baby. The colonial capitalists ‘pork-barrelled’ (insider-traded) the economy by electing themselves as legislators. Reeves got a road put into his farm (inspiring the notorious labour rat FP Walsh who became the biggest dairy farmer 50 years later).

The Reevesites used the state to establish a national capitalist class through state protection and insulation - a tradition picked up by the NZ Keynesian W.B. Sutch during the 30s depression. Sutch was the intellectual grunt behind state intervention first in the Reform Government of Coates, and then the first Labour Government of Savage and Fraser. He had a second go as head of Trade and Industry during the Second Labour Govt of 1957-60.

The Lange Fourth Labour Govt facing a deep crisis that had built up during the 1970s, rejected Keynesianism for the neo-liberal market reforms in the 1980s. NZ’s economy was deregulated and bought out by Australian and US multinationals. It suited the MNCs but not the working class whose living standards plummeted. Only now facing a new global crisis of capitalism is Labour turning back towards weak-kneed Keynesian type policies to manage the economy. It is being egged on by its coterie of left intellectuals who have revived their state socialism brand as Fabian lectures.

Today, the NZ state acts openly for international capitalism and no significant economic sovereignty survives. In a hundred years NZ has gone from infant capitalist colony to a clapped- out capitalist semi-colony. Instead of becoming a state of Australia in 1901 when the other states federated, NZ struck out (in both senses) on its own because the Liberals under Seddon and the social imperialist Fabians had visions of NZ capitalism as a little England with its own Pacific empire. Of course these were infantile delusions, so that today far from being a minor imperialist power lording it over tiny Pacific fiefdoms, NZ is virtually a colony of Australia without the benefits of Federation over 100 years. Catching up with Australia is therefore impossible and futile.

NZs future therefore is more like that of the historic Latin American semi-colonies of the US and European powers. If you want a current model to revive economic nationalism look to the Bolivarian states in Latin America and see that none of these states can evade subservience to the big foreign powers. What we see in Latin America is a contemporary Fabianism, or a managed national capitalism, that has failed to escape US domination, but switched from US subservience to Chinese subservience.

Illusions of the NZ Bolivarian Left

It’s not surprising then to find that McCarten is a strong ally of the Australian Green left which pins its hopes for socialism on the Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela. Hugo Chavez advocates a 21st century socialism that is not tainted by that of the 20th century. Yet this ‘socialism’ is no different from the state socialism of the Fabians of the 20th century. It is essentially no different from the Alternative Economic Strategy of the CTU. The AES which is a predicable wish-list of reforms that sees workers taking a larger share in the ‘productivity’ of their labour. From this rising share of wages would come more jobs, education, health and public housing. This is also the broad reformist program of Bradford and Harawira addressing the needs of working people and of Maori.

They make no mention that this increased income share going to workers is the result of rising exploitation and that workers are entitled to all, not just a larger share of the value they produce. So the differences on the left of Labour are not over reforms as such but how far those reforms go and how they can be implemented. Those who identify with the Bolivarian left are pushing for more mass involvement in politics so that more major reforms are possible. They point to the success of Chavez and Morales in Latin America who have been elected to power on big popular majorities.

What they don’t say is that the populist policies of these leaders of sharing the wealth that workers produce, serves to justify the right of capitalists to expropriate their profits from workers’ labour. Workers become subordinated to popular fronts which are dominated by bosses and prevented from organising independently to overthrow these regimes. The irony is that Chavez now talks about 21st socialism as being similar to Chinese ‘market socialism’ when China is now the new imperialist power that is in strategic alliances with the Bolivarians to contain the masses so it can extract its super-profits.

We need a World Party of Socialism

Economic independence will not come from belated attempts at economic nationalism by a rump fraction of the national bourgeoisie that exploits xenophobia to keep the working masses under the control of a section of the national bourgeoisie, the ‘boli-bourgeoisies’, but the opposite. Instead of the race to the bottom where isolationism and protectionism leads inexorably to wars over diminishing resources, real independence from the dominance of the US or China today will only come by workers in every country uniting to overthrow their ruling classes and building international alliances to plan production on a global scale to provide for the needs of the masses without destroying the planet.

NZ at the beginning of the 21st century is a semi-colony of Australia and the US, and increasingly China. Economic nationalism is a reactionary utopia (or as we say these days a dystopia) because to even begin to realise it, workers have to voluntarily submit themselves to slavery, poverty and misery. The time has come for workers to organise independently of the state, and its parliamentary road, and build a mass Workers Socialist Party, affiliated to a new world party of socialism.

Haiti: Statement from the FLTI

The new gas and oil finds in Haiti show that while the masses were entombed alive in concrete graves, US imperialism was busy prospecting for resources to exploit. This is the barbarism of world capitalism today.

Catastrophe in Haiti:
Earthquake, famine and a new imperialist invasion
The working class of the American continent must rise together with the Haitian martyrdom masses which are attacked by the US imperialist troops and those of the Minustah-UN.
It is necessary to break with the World Social Forum leaderships and the “Bolivarian Revolution” façade who subordinate the working class to its executioners, the native bourgeoisies and the imperialist butchers Obama and Sarkozy.

Let the ELAC leaders break with the bourgeoisie and launch an emergency appeal for working class in the continent gets into the combat to help the tormented Haitian masses!
Imperialist butchers Obama and Sarkozy’s hands off Haiti!
Down with the façade “Bolivarian Revolution” which expropriates the revolutionary anti-imperialist struggle of the masses in the continent!
For the military defeat and expulsion of the invasion troops of US, UN and those of the sepoy Latin-American bourgeoisie!
For a new Vietnam for the imperialism in Central America and the Caribbean!
For a worker and peasants government in Haiti and Dominican!
For the Socialist United States of Central and South America!
For more than a century, the US and French imperialism have sunk the island “La Española” –Haiti and Dominican Republic- into the worst human degradation, plundering and super exploiting it. They transformed Haiti into a US protectorate, a reservoir of slave labour just a few miles away from Miami (up to now under the proxy bourgeois government of Preval, who is Obama and the slaver monopolies’ puppet) used to lower the salary of the US working class and even the salary of the immigrants inside USA. With such unemployment, the imperialism sees that there are too many people in Haiti, so they leave them to die without anything. It is a real extermination.

Now the martyrdom black Haitian masses suffer the most cruel of the barbarism because under such a historical plunder, an earthquake has demolish dozens of thousand of poor workers’ houses and has planted hundreds of thousand of corpses in Port au Prince’s streets.

Our exploited Haitian brothers and sisters are eaten by the dogs and the vultures in the streets. 150 casualties are confirmed and the dead bodies which are under the ruins are uncountable.

Hundreds of thousands walk around in the middle of this chaos –even wounded and mutilated- searching for their relatives; 250 thousand are close to death; 2 million workers families have lost their houses and half a million people survive without a shelter or in improvised huts, with hunger, thirst and serious illnesses, covered by mountains of garbage, rotten overflowed sewers, without schools, without hospitals, no drinkable water, and even less electricity. This is the barbarism provoked by the imperialism! No “humanitarian aid” can be expected from these genocide exploiters!

The disasters of the earthquake could have been prevented! With a minimal part of what the US state put to bail out the Wall Street parasites from the bankruptcy of the world economic crisis, it could have guaranteed anti-earthquake houses for all the Haitian population, as the ones built in Japan and in Los Angeles, so an earthquake do not destroy them. And with a minimal part of what Obama gave to the exploiters of GM to prevent their bankruptcy –fortune that they are making paid to the workers with dismissals, taking conquers, hunger and misery-, it could have guaranteed water, food and medicine for all the exploited ones in Haiti.

In order to generalize to all the exploited ones the technological development that protect from the blind forces of the nature, and stop being an exclusive privilege of the imperialist powers, it is necessary to expropriate the imperialist monopolies with the proletarian revolution methods!

Under the mask of the “humnitarian aid” and of “combat against chaos and violence”, imperialism the sipoy bourgeoisies and the counterrevolutionary leaderships hide the military occupation of Haiti

Today, after the brutal earthquake, the whole of the imperialist bourgeoisie send more troops, multiplying the military occupation of the Haitian yanqui protectorate, that since 2004 is being occupied by 11.000 soldiers of the Minustah, under the cover of the UNO, led by France and commanded by the “Bolivarian” lackeys of Bolivia, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, etc., that will increase the number of their troops up to 14.500, all on behalf of the North American imperialism. On the other hand, directly the yankee imperialism –on its own bill-, from the 4th Fleet of the SurCom, has already disembarked 6.500 marines occupying the island, to which there  will be added other 12.000 in next days. They have already “established 4 provisional centers in the airport, the port, the Petionville hills (in the golf club) and in Jacmel, a cost village next to Puerto Principe. With this deployment, Washington bets in two directions: to lead the recomposition of the state and the government of Rene Preval and to ensure for itself the management of the Hatian Marshall Plan.” (Clarin, 24-01-10)

That is to say, “the humanitarian aid” and the necessity to “combat chaos and violence”, are nothing else but a mask that hides the criminal action of the occupation troops, amid the biggest catastrophe and famine seen in the Caribbean in the past century. The invading troops -with license to kill- guard the private property and the reservations of foods in the island, to impede that the first and legitimate expropriations of the warehouses on the part of the hungry masses, taking what belongs to them, become a new revolt for the bread that attacking the property of the capitalists, condemn all the reservations of foods, it dilutes and medicines to palliate the immense penuries of the exploited masses, threatening to the group of the property of the imperialistic monopolies and of the employer one pro-slavery native and that it expels to the troops of imperialistic occupation.

The palpable test of this humanitarian cynicism is that for a population of 3,8 millions of inhabitants of the city of Port au Prince, with 2,5 millions of hungry, thirsty and wounded people, they hardly distribute 15.000 liters of water per day, no medicines and the scarce foods is thrown to them by helicopter, while the donations are sold in the black market at exorbitant prices. Meanwhile the yankee troops, with the state of siege, control the ports and the airport, and patrol the streets armed up to the teeth with heavy weapons, guarding the big stores, the big property and the rich neighborhoods. This is why in the area of the airport, where they have the biggest reserves of food and water, they have already begun to shoot workers and their children that -knowing that they are their – go there for foods and water.
All this, after the yankee imperialism with the 4th Fleet of the SouthCom established a maritime military fence with the plane carrier, misilistic fragates, airplanes, amphibians and armed helicopters to make sure that a rebellion do not rise up not only of the martyred Haitian masses, but also of their brothers of Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cuba, the Antilles, the rest of the countries of Central America, and Mexico, and fundamentally the 45 million Latin immigrants in USA, among them the million and a half Haitian residents in New York and Miami. And this while the sipoy government of Leonel Fernández -militarizing the frontier of Dominican Republic - closes the only exit by earth for the masses of Haiti.
These imperialist pirates of Wall Street and of the rest of the international financial capital, have to disguise themselves by “sending humanitarian help", because they are who, after spending in advance 90 trillion dollars, they have launched a ferocious attack upon the world working class to save to the JP Morgan, the Citibank, Freddy Mac, General Motors, Toyota, the HSBC, the German Hypo, BNP Paribas, Northern Rock, etc., sowing the true chaos and violence in the world, leaving without work and sinking in misery at least 1.000 million workers in the whole planet.

It is that these criminals and exploiters of the world, commanded by Obama, are forced to hide their attack in Haiti with the verse of the “humanitarian aid", because they are those who headed the coup-de-etat in Honduras, they sent the murderer marines to Afghanistan, they armed the Turkish army to slaughter in the north of Iraq and they made a pact with the Shiite bourgeoisie to contain the rebels in the south of that country; they are those who sent to their minor partners in Pakistan to perpetrate a true massacre in the Swat valley with 80.000 murdered and 2.000.000 displaced, with the support of the Chinese and the Indian army. They are the murderers of the Middle East peoples and because of that they were beaten in 2006 and 2007, receiving in the yankee airports thousands of black bags with the marines executed by the heroic Iraqi and Afghan resistance.

They are those that to have their hands free to launch new counterrevolutionary offensives as in Honduras and now in Haiti, make a pact with the French imperialism to share the booty, as they do it in China, where the Stalinist bureaucracy become into bourgeoisie, gave hundreds of millions of slaves to the world market.

Then “humanitarian aid" is nothing but a smoke curtain to hide this true military occupation of the martyred Haitian nation before the North American proletariat –first of all, before the most exploited sector, the 45 million immigrants- and before the working class and the masses of the whole continent. For that reason -as they did when they occupied Iraq in the 2003- the bourgeoisie even ended up restricting in the news in the whole African continent, the penuries of the Haitian masses under the military boot of the occupation, showing them as "salvation" troops to prevent its class brothers and sisters of the black continent to rise up in indignation in support of the Haitian masses.

The “bolibourgeoisie” the pro-slavery Chinese CP and the Castroist bureaucracy, now all together in their International V, and also the renegades of Trotskyism that even if they want to cover with "leftist" phraseology, they do not anything but to reproduce that to throw dust into the eyes of the working class, became the main spokesmen of this smoke curtain.

Down with the farce of the “humanitarian aid” in the hands of the imperialist butcher invaders and of the counterrevolutionary leaderships of the world proletariat!

The true humanitarian aid for the exploited of Haiti can only come from the working class and its fighting organizations.
It is necessary to expel to the invader troops; to condemn the monopolizers and the capitalists; to nationalize the foreign trade and to break up with imperialism; to impose a unique national bank under workers’ control, expropriating the private banking without payment!
It is necessary to expropriate all the urban properties of the bourgeoisie!
It is necessary to impose a workers’ and peasants’ government based on the selforganized and armed masses, in supply committees, reconstruction committees, workers' committees and poor peasants' committees that take the arable lands immediately!

This would be a first step and a true electric shock for the masses of all Central America and the Caribbean, so that Guadalupe, Martinique and Mexico catch fire again. It would be the kick so that Nicaragua and El Salvador insurrectionists stand up again, as an outpost in the struggle to expropriate the expropriators, with the Haitian masses at the head of the continental revolution as the slaves already did at the beginning of the 19th century. But this time it will be a rebellion of the modern slaves, against the exploiters, against its leaderships that make them kneel down and prevent them to develop all its revolutionary force at a national and a world level.

The key for the victory of the Haitian masses is in the hands of the North American working class, that with its anti-imperialist struggle yesterday, with the immigrants at their head, and with the heroic Iraqui and Afgani resistance provoked the crisis of the government Bush and the regime of the “republicrats”. Today, the working class has to break with Obama and with the reformist leaderships that submitted it to this smoked Bush that represents the same interests of the financial capital, the oil companies, the high tech industry and the industrial military apparatus. This is the only way to put on feet the March of a Million Workers against the war and against the military occupation of Haiti, Iraq and Afghanistan.

For this to be true, the working class need a courageous voice that calls thing by their real name. The first thing that has to be said is that it was the treacherous AFL-CIO who submitted the working class to the gang of parasites of Bush and Cheney and the masses are paying for that with 40 million of hungry in the USA now.

They were who submitted it to the follower of Bush’s job, the imperialist butcher Obama, and now millions of jobs and houses are lost, with hundreds of thousands of workers living with three dollars a day, without healthcare and without education for their children. The working class is equal or worst than their Latin American brothers and sisters. We need a courageous voice that calls things by their real name and that tells that the assassin Obama has endorsed the Zionist massacre in Gaza with the operation “Plomo fundido”, keeps the anti-imperialist fighters of Afghanistan and the Middle East in Guantanamo and in the six hundreds clandestine prisons of the CIA, and is the one who, leading the regime of the “republicrats” is preparing to send Mumia to the electric chair, a hostage of the world working class in the hands of the imperialist gags. It is necessary a courageous voice that calls the North American working class to break with the smoked Bush of Obama and with the regime of the “republicrats”, setting on feet the March of the Million Workers again and to paralyze the imperialist war machinery.

With the military occupation of Haiti, the yankee imperialism wants to establish a new military base in the Caribbean to massacre the masses and to consummate the capitalist restauration in Cuba.
The French imperialist vultures –under the cover of the ONU and the “bolibourgeoisie”- wants to be part of the reconstruction of Haiti, and to preserve their interests in the Caribbean and in Latin America

The macabre imperialists, taking benefits from the disgrace and the terrible suffering of the Haitian masses, took most of the strategic points in Haiti, setting up a monstrous military operation of the occupation troops of the butcher Obama who, without any doubt, in a few days will be transformed not only into a protectorate with hungry slaves, but in a new yankee military base in the Caribbean. This is why instead of bringing water, medicines and food for the population that ambulate in the last breath in the streets, they are getting ready to disembark new contingents of marines of the 4th fleet of the US SouthCom, armed up to the teeth.

We are before a true leap in the offensive of the bloody North American imperialism, with its policy of coming back “for everything” to recover its “backyard” in Latin America. Disguised as Obama, together with the native bourgeoisies, it is launching a brutal attack against the North American and Latin American working class, after the installation of seven military bases in Colombia and planting the military coup in Honduras by reinforcing its military base in that country, and after modernizing its military base in Guantanamo (Cuba). Then, having the monstrous military base of the Navy in Puerto Rico, the yankee imperialism has concentrated an enormous military power in Central America and the Caribbean, preparing new massacres against the masses, guaranteeing the routes of oil from Venezuela and the control of arms smuggling and the narco trade. This is the counterrevolutionary operation of the yankee pirates, which key part is the consummation of the capitalist restoration in Cuba. They have to smash the working class of the continent to put it out of the stage for a whole historic period, to have the hands free for superior military offensives and adventures in a world level to come out from the crisis.

This is the offensive of the “Republicrats”, with Obama in the command of the general staff of the yankee imperialism, to redouble the attack and to defeat the struggles of the working class and the peasants in Mexico, Peru, Guadalupe, and the Antilles, that are showing the way to open the counteroffensive of the masses in the continent.

Behind the mask of the “humanitarian aid” they invade Haiti with thousands of marines controlling provisions and medicines. With the delay of the help, they are doing all what is necessary for the death of more hundreds of thousands of exploited people, in the same way they did in the past century in Ethiopia, Congo, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and the whole black African continent.

Then, these experienced yankee assassins that came from massacring the people in Irak, Afghanistan and Pakistan, already control the strategic points of the capital in Haiti, leaving for France and the Minustah, the rest of the island. They want to guarantee an enormous force to massacre the martyred exploited Haitian people, to prevent it from rebelling –as it did in history expelling the invader-  and that it takes the resolution of its sufferings in its own hands with the method of the civil war opening the way to stablish a new workers´ and peasants´ republic in the Caribbean.

For this reason, the French imperialist butchers –in a race against the clock- want to reestablish behind the armor of the UNO, using the “Bolivarian” bourgeoisies (laying on the whole 5th International, headed by Chavez and the red mandarins of the Chinese Communist party and Castro and supported from the “left” by the renegades of Trotskyism), to cover the occupation and the new crimes of the invading forces, in the first place, while they as for “more humanitarian aid”. And, in the second place, with their talk against the “exaggerated sending of yankee troops beside the resolution of the UNO”, they hide the disputes, not only for the reconstruction of Haiti but for the right to use the Haitian slave workforce, the slide of the business of smuggling and the narcotraffic, to reinforce their placement in the Caribbean with its colonies in Guadalupe, Martinica, Guyana, etc., and defending the interests of the French, Holland, Spanish imperialisms and the rest of the European vultures in Latin America.

The no less bloody French imperialism does not agree to being denied the millions from the reconstruction, and even less, to relinquishing itscontrol of its old colonies in the Caribbean, and its businesses in the rest of the continent. France does not only sponsor the Business conference in Montreal, but,  behind the mask of the UNO, it also demands the right to send another 10 thousands “Blue Helmets” of its own, disguised as the Minustah, to back the dispute for its portion of the profitable businesses, as they did in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine.

The world economic crisis pushes more and more all the imperialist parasites –yankee, French, Japanese, German, Spanish, etc.- to dispute the areas of influence, calculating the juicy businesses that they will get in the resconstruction of Haiti. They have met in a Conference on January 25th, in Montreal, Canada, and they are preparing another one in March. After meeting the sepoy Leonel Fenandez, Dominican president, and the Haitian Preval, “puppet” of Obama, to set up an “aid for the reconstruction of Haiti coordination committee” that will work in the Dominican Republic and will be integrated by the Community of the Caribbean (Caricom), the UNO, the OAS, the BID, plus the European powers the yankee imperialism and other countries as Canada, Brazil and Mexico.

The North American, Latin American and world working class must stand up again to prevent this offensive of the imperialist butchers to be a new defeat for the exploited masses of the world. It is necessary to put on feet the proletariat of the whole continent, beginning by the Local 10 of the dockworkers of Oakland and the workers and peasants of Cuba, for making Haiti and Central America a new Vietnam for the imperialist butchers, mainly for the Yankees and the French imperialists.

Imperialist military bases out of Puerto Rico, Guantánamo, Honduras, Colombia, French Guayana and Falkland Islands
For the military defeat of the imperialist invasion troops of the butcher Obama, of the French imperialist butchers and of the UN-Minustah in Haiti!
Down with the Montreal Conference of the imperialist vultures and their lackeys!

The military occupation of Haiti is a direct threat against the gains of the Cuban revolution. Down with the Castroite bureaucracy!
International working class and peasant brigades of Cuba and all Latin America to fight against the military occupation of Haiti!

The Cuban working class and peasantry must see as theirs the torment suffered by their Haitian brothers. This might be the last warning! If the imperialist parasites finish in settling their military occupation, with the complicity of the Castroite bureaucracy who since 2004 supported the occupation Minustah troops in Haiti and opened its air space to the “US Air Force”, Cuba will be the next immediate target in the US offensive in the continent, to fulfill the capitalist restoration in the island.

The Castroite bureaucracy has tied its fate to the multinationals such as Monsanto (in the bio-fuel business), to the Spanish and French imperialisms in the hotel and tourism business, to Repsol and Totalfina in the oil extraction in the Caribbean, to the French imperialism in the exploitation of Nickel, and not to the 2001 Argentinean revolution, not to the 2003/2005 Bolivian revolution (both of them strangled by Castro and the Castroite restorationist bureaucracy as part of the World Social Forum’s actions) nor to the revolutionary uprising that not long ago the masses of Guadalupe, Martinique, Peru and Mexico made; and let alone of the tormented Haitian masses.

It is this bureaucracy the one that on the basis of the defeat of the Central American revolution –and in the whole continent- could go forward with its restorationist offensive, imposing superior suffering the Cuban people itself, with the privatization of some sector of the economy, such as tourism, hotels, and nickel; rationing the supply cards; with 18 dollars wages for the widest majority of the workers, privileged health for the officers, their families, the foreigners and a handful of “new” rich, social basis for the capitalist restoration, and more sufferings for the whole working class!

This restorationist bureaucracy will be in better conditions for the consummation of the capitalist restoration in case of the settlement of the yankee military occupation of Haiti. They want Cuba as an open air maquila and a whorehouse for the USA again, with the officers of the bureaucracy becoming a new bourgeoisie exploiter and oppressor of its own people, on the account of the imperialist parasites, tearing away up to the last conquests of the revolution from the Cuban working class.

Now, with the reserve of slave workforce of millions of hungry people in Haiti –only 80 kilometers away from Cuba- the Castroist bureaucracy is following the way of the Yeltsins, Putins, Hu Jintaos and the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party, that today, as lackeys of the transnationals, true managers of slave workers, buy the raw materials and commodities paying historic record prices in the world market to guarantee the production of the imperialist monopolies with raw materials subsidized by the state.

So, it is indispensable for the Cuban working class and peasantry, to survive, to break with the Castroist restorationist bureaucracy, that today from the 5th International, continues the class collaboration policy imposed from the World Social Forum, and its getting ready to restore capitalism in Cuba. Yesturday, they had to defeat the revolution in the Caribbean and the continent to defend their privileges, to prevent the revolution that was shaking the continent from becoming a political revolution in the Cuban decomposed workers’ state, with the working class setting on foot its armed selfdetermination organisms to overthrow the restorationist bureaucracy. Today it is a question of life and death for them to impose new defeats over the masses in the continent –particularly in the Caribbean- to guarantee the final leap towards restoration and to liquidate the only vestige of a workers’ state in the continent.

The tasks of the defence of the conquests of the Cuban revolution are welded to the combat against the imperialist offensive in Haiti, confronting the Castroist restorationist bureaucracy and its support to the invasion and the smashing of the Haitian masses. The struggle against imperialism is indissolubly linked with the political revolution in Cuba.

Down with the capitalist restoration!
Down with the restorationist of capitalist regime and the Castroist bureaucracy!
For the victory of the political revolution to save the workers state in decomposition from the catastrophe of the capitalist restoration!
Down with the international counterrevolutionary policy of the restorationist bureaucracy, strangler of the revolutionary and anti-imperialist struggle of the Latin American workers and the exploited people!
For workers’, peasants and soldiers’ armed councils, to overthrow the restorationist bureaucracy and to put Cuba as a link of the Latin America and world revolution!
For the Socialist United States of Central and South America!

In this combat, it is extremely urgent the rebellion of the Cuban workers and combative students, supporting their Haitian brothers and sisters and for the expulsion of the imperialist troops. This task is not only an urgent matter for the martyred Haitian people, but also in self defense.

The Cuban working class and people have in their hands the authority to call upon the workers and exploited people of Latin America and upon all the fighting organizations of the continent to set on foot workers´ and peasants’ militias from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, and in the first place, in Cuba itself, to go into Haiti to defeat and expel the imperialist invader and its lackeys. This is the shortest way to defeat the Castroist bureaucracy and to guarantee water, food and medicines for our Haitian brothers and sisters.

No permision for the yankee butchers to use the Cuban air space!
For the smashing of the yankee troops in Guantanamo
For the immediate liberation of the anti-imperialist fighters imprisoned in Guantanamo!

For our exploited Haitian brothers and sisters to live, the imperialist occupation troops and their lackeys of UN-Minustah must be defeated and expelled!
To re-build Haiti, to get bread, water, medicines, housing, hospitals, schools and jobs with a decent wage: Expropriate the expropriators in Haiti, Dominican Republic, Mexico, all the Caribbean and Central America, mainly in USA and Canada!

The best help to our brothers in Haiti starts by condemning the cynicism and the hypocrisy sponsored by the same US and French imperialist murderous invaders, with the UN, the OAS and the CARICOM (Caribbean community), where the cynic Obama requested the butchers and former presidents of USA Clinton and Bush to organize the “Clinton/Bush Haiti Fund” to coordinate the humanitarian help in Haiti.

We have to break the subordination of the workers organizations to Obama and the “Bolivarian” bourgeoisies. Only with this the working class and the exploited, rebelling and conquering its generalized arming, will be able to expel the imperialist invader troops of USA, Canada and France with their lackeys of Minustah, to destroy the colonial state, joining forces with their brothers in Dominican Republic, and, with a victorious insurrection, federate under a provisional government of the armed workers and peasants organizations.

We have to set up armed workers committees to defeat the invasion troops in Haiti, expropriate the expropriators and make Haiti and Dominican Republic a new workers and peasants republic. This is in the way of generalizing the revolution in the whole region and mainly penetrating into USA. This is the only path to guarantee bread, water, medicine, houses and ultimately to rebuild Haiti over solid basis, anti-earthquake, that only the proletariat can guarantee.

The military occupation is a real war against the Haitian masses, which just suffered an earthquake, to prevent the revolts for the bread to develop and become an armed insurrection of the exploited that defeats militarily and expels the invader troops; and to prevent that the exploited take the solution of their problems in their own hands, as they did yesterday against both of the genocide Duvalliers (Papa Doc and Baby Doc).

Generalized arming of the workers and the poor people organized in peasants and workers militia to defeat and expel the US, Canadian, French imperialist troops and all the troops of the UN-Minustah, murderers of the people!

In this catastrophe, the right of the exploited to get bread, water, medicines and houses for them and their children is sacred. Immediate confiscation of all the food deposits and warehouses controlled by the US marines and the Minustah and the big supermarket and grocery stores under control of the armed supplying workers and the poor people committees, reconstruction committees and poor peasants and workers committees to get the food!

Let those committees to immediately occupy the arable lands in order to get food for all the exploited people!

Expropriation without compensation of the sugar factories, the assembling maquilas of the free trade zones to put them to produce under control of the armed workers, at the service of the exploited!

For the nationalization of the foreign commerce!
For a single national bank under workers control, expropriating without compensation the private banks!
Expropriate all the urban properties of the bourgeoisie!

Break with the IMF and the WB! No payment of the external debt!

The workers organizations of Dominican Republic have to rise with this program as a war cry in support of their class brothers in Haiti, starting to open unconditionally the artificial borders between those tiny countries, putting themselves at the head of the fight to expel the colonialist invader troops, as part of its fight for the defeat of the pro-imperialist government of Leonel Fernandez and conquer a Workers and Peasants Federation of Haiti and Dominican, under a workers and peasants government, based in the struggle organisms and the arming of the masses, in the road of conquering the Socialist United States of the Caribbean and Central and South America.

Only this way the imperialism can be expelled once and for all from Haiti, and end up the plundering, exploitation and the terrible sufferings of the exploited masses of the island “La Española”.

What our class brothers in Haiti need is to break the isolation, since as a nation it has no solution, not only because they share the island with Dominican Republic, separated by an artificial border, imposed by the former imperialist Spanish and French, but also because in the current world, if it is kept in isolation, what it is awaiting for Haiti is the hell of a military base, in a new imperialist enclave, worst than the Guantanamo jail.

That is why, in order to have bread, medicine, water, jobs, houses, the exploited from the insurrected Guadalupe and Martinique must rise up again, also the fight of the Mexican proletariat which thousands of them paralyzed the capital city and marched through the streets of El Zocalo, with the electrician union at the head. And let the Oaxaca commune rise up again, also the workers of Honduras against the counterrevolutionary coup, but this time with no tie to the canaille and coward Bolivarian of Zelaya. And mainly, let the US working class break its subordination to the Black Bush Obama in order to get the million immigrants rise up again, set up again the Million Men March against the war, so, together with ILWU local 10 of Oakland dockworkers, paralyze the imperialist war machine in Iraq, Afghanistan and Haiti, entering in political fight maneuvers against Obama’s government and the murderous regime of the “Republicrats”.

The true humanitarian help can only be guaranteed by the working class and its organizations at an international level, to make effective the food, medicines, clothes and weapons send. With hot cargo and block the airports to boycott the US-French imperialist war machine at the same time, to guarantee transportation and the delivery of the humanitarian help. This humanitarian help must come from the millions of profits of the transnationals and the imperialist usurer banks that stole fortunes in Wall Street.
That is why it is indispensable to organize internationalist workers brigades of doctors, helpers, paramedics, and fighters, from the unions in USA and Latin America to help the Haitian and Dominican masses to defeat the murderous marines!
We must transform Haiti into a starting point of the revolution in the Caribbean and Central America, as the Cuban revolution after defeating the North American troops in Pig Bay!
US working class has to stand up again with its vanguard, the immigrant workers! Stop expelling the immigrants from USA
Down with the wall of shame in the southern border between USA and Mexico!

Gurkas troops of the imperialism sent by the sepoy governments of Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile and Colombia to kill our Haitian brothers and sisters, Out!
For a unified combat of the working class and the exploited of Latin America in support to the workers and the Haitian people!

The working class of the imperialist countries, particularly USA and France, and esencially its vanguard, the 45 millions Latino immigrants –where there are 1,5 million Haitians- in the case of the USA, like the Algerian, Ivorian, Palestinian, Turks, etc., in the case of France, have in their hands the strength to defeat this new colonial adventure of their own imperialist bourgeoisie, standing on the warpath with the methods of the working class, to force the immediate withdrawal of the imperialist troops from Haiti.

This way, breaking with the subordination to Sarkozy, Obama and their own imperialist bourgeoisies, imposed by the workers’ aristocracy and bureaucracy and by the reformist leaderships, the working class of the imperialist countries will be able to unite their ranks, in the first place with the real core of the exploited: the immigrant working class. Only this way they will be able to go towards the direct confrontation with their own imperialist bourgeoisies, regimes and government, making way for a world level mass counteroffensive.

The fake Trotskyists, with the ELAC at the helm, are the “left support” of the counterrevolutionary pacts of the native bourgeoisies with the imperialism to ensure the expropriation of the revolutionary anti-imperialist struggle of the masses

With the fake Trotskyist LIT/PSTU at the helm, in the mid-2008, it appears the Workers Gathering of Latin America and the Caribbean (ELAC) integrated by Conlutas (Brazil); the Workers Central of Bolivia (COB); Batay Ouvriye (Haiti); ILWU Local 10 from the dockworkers of Oakland (USA); the C-CURA from Venezuela who leads the UNT; The Militant Class Tendency (TCC) from Uruguay and other worker organizations from 21 countries around the continent. They put the millions of workers of the organizations they lead and influence to centralize their strengths to prevent that the left wing of the proletariat fight the bourgeois governments of the continent, led today by the former founders of the World Social Forum. They subjugated them to Lula, Chavez, Morales, Correa, etc. which are now in charge of attacking the working class, suppress and kill it, starve their families and put in jail its best fighters ¡In parallel they did the same in USA, helping to subjugate the left wing of the US proletariat to the feet of the Democratic Party butchers, so then, dressed up as Obama, USA can set up again a new general staff so the “Republicrat” regime can come out of the crisis and come back to get all to recover its LA backyard!

From ELAC, with the “Trotskyist” coverage given by LTI-PSTU and its CONLUTAS, they re-credited the collaborationist leadership of the COB in order to allow it to subordinate the working class to Morales’ government, the one who repressed the militant Huanuni mineworkers and agreed a pact with the bourgeoisie of the Media Luna, re-strengthening fascism controlling half of Bolivia. While dozens of workers and peasants were massacred by the fascist gangs, during the assault of October 2008, the collaborationist leadership of the COB, supported by ELAC, with the fake Trotskyists of LIT at its head, refused to fight for peasants and workers militia to smash fascism, and demanded Morales to take the army out to the streets to guarantee “democracy” with the murderous officers caste!

The leaderships of the ELAC were the ones who supported the treacherous bureaucracy of the AFL-CIO and the reformist organizations in USA, the ones who de-synchronized the US working class fights (who started to rise up against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan) while millions of migrant workers took the streets fighting for their rights, who attempted to unify with the Iraqi and Middle Eastern masses fight, the same heroic resistance that put US imperialism into a swamp and Bush government into crisis.

These leaderships dissolved the Million  Workers March and subordinated the workers vanguard, the Local 10 of ILWU of the Oakland dockworkers, to scatter their picket lines and stop their strikes and hot cargo against the US war machine in the San Francisco Bay docks. From the ELAC, they collaborated to strangle the US working class awakening, to put them at the Democratic Party’s feet and later to those of Obama, the butcher, which imposed with the crisis 7 million workers dismissed and 40 million of them living out of food coupons.

At the same time the ELAC in Brazil was setting up, in Colombia, Betancourt and other prisoners were freed by the Uribe-Bush army which massacres the Colombian resistance after it was sold out by Castro, Chavez and Correa with the support of the World Social Forum and the sepoy bourgeoisies in the continent. ELAC refused to fight for the only truly internationalist motion of solidarity with the Colombian resistance:
Full and immediate de-militarization of the borders between Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Brazil
Let all the workers organizations of those countries break with the bourgeoisie and put all their forces to the service of supplying the resistance against the fascist Uribe!

In Honduras, against the pro-US coup of Micheletti, the ELAC, with its policy of “unconditional restitution of Zelaya”, subordinated the militant workers and peasants masses to the “democratic front” of the “Bolivarian” bourgeoisie, which, far from “defending democracy” ended up in a pact with the coupist while Tegucigalpa’s streets were stained in workers and peasants’ blood.

Down with the counterrevolutionary pacts of the “Bolivarian” bourgeoisies and the imperialism, supported by the fake Trotskyists!

In Brazil, the ELAC, led by Conlutas, in the middle of the crisis with over one million workers retrenched, guaranteed that the militant battalions of the most concentrated proletariat of Latin America do not fight against the “Union Action Pact” imposed by all the central trade unions servants of Lula’s government, which have imposed the “social peace” to the Brazilian working class in order to let the monopolies to over exploit the workers and beat the historical profits records. This was the same policy that all the Argentinean reformist left imposed to the Argentinean working class, taking all the struggles of the left wing of the proletariat into a defeat, putting them at the feet of the bourgeois regime’s institutions and guaranteeing the “social peace”.

And now, as if this was not enough, with one of the founder organizations of the ELAC in Haiti, Batay Ouvriye, the only thing the ELAC does is to beg to the UN butchers and their lackeys, the Latin American native bourgeoisies, for them to withdraw the troops, the same troops that occupy Haiti since 2004! And also they beg for more humanitarian help!
They, from Conlutas, refused to fight against the murderous government of Lula. From the COB they refused to fight against Morales. From the UNT they refused to fight against Chavez. They refused to fight against those governments with working class methods, with strikes, pickets, blockades, etc. to impose the withdrawal of the murderous troops of the Bolivarians, who are at the service of the UN in Haiti, doing massacres for the imperialism.

Emergency appeal to all the militant workers and peasants organizations of the continent!
Let the leaderships of the ELAC break with the bourgeoisie and launch an emergency appeal for the working class of the continent to rise and fight in the help of the tormented masses of Haiti!

Enough with requesting to the sepoy governments who have their hands stained with the Haitian exploited’s blood!
Enough with demanding “humanitarian helps” who blackmail and treat our class brothers and sisters as beggars!
Enough disciplining the workers organizations to the bourgeoisie country by country!

Let the leaderships of the ELAC break with the bourgeoisie and immediately launch an emergency calling, a war cry from the organizations gathered in the ELAC, with Batay Ouvriye (Haiti) and ILWU Local 10 of the Oakland dockworkers (USA), Conlutas from Brazil led by the PSTU/LIT, the Bolivian Workers Central (COB); the C-Cura from Venezuela that is the union groupment led by the UIT which is now at the helm of the Venezuelan UNT, the Militant Classist Tendency from Uruguay and the rest of the organizations in 21 countries around the continent at its head!

Let the leadership of the ELAC break with the bourgeoisie and call immediately to an Emergency International Congress to launch an urgent motion to all the workers organizations of the continent to call for a struggle plan to make a Continental General Strike, defeating the collaborationist policy of the union bureaucracy of the continent!

Break with the bourgeoisie and put all the strengths of the workers organization you lead and influence in the continent, starting with Batay Ouvriye from Haiti and the ILWU Local 10 of the dockworkers of Oakland (USA), to call together with the COB, Conlutas, UNT, etc. to organize workers international brigades of doctors, paramedics and fighters to aid and help the Haitian and Dominican masses to defeat the imperialist invaders and expel them from the island.

Let the ELAC break with the bourgeoisie and, from ILWU Local 10 of the dockworkers of Oakland (USA), guarantee that all the water, food, medicines and all the medical equipment our class brothers and sisters need get to them, and call to fight for the expropriation without compensation and under workers control of all the imperialist monopolies of the food industry, the great labs, the hi-tec medical industry in all the continent! Let the ILWU Local 10 call for a strike and to set up picket lines of the dockworkers of Oakland and the Million Workers March against the war to paralyze the imperialist war machine inside the beast!

Let the ELAC break with the bourgeoisie and with Batay Ouvriye in Haiti and call for the immediate confiscation of all the food storages and warehouses controlled by the US marines, the Minustah, the big supermarkets and grocery stores, under control of the armed supplying workers and the poor people committees, reconstruction committees and poor peasants and workers committees to get the food!
Let those committees immediately occupy the arable lands in order to get food for all the exploited people!
Let the ELAC break with the bourgeoisie and call to organize workers and peasants armed militias to defend themselves from the imperialist aggression and to defeat and expel the occupation troops in Port au Prince, in Haiti and Dominican Republic!
Let the ELAC and Batay Ouvriye break with the bourgeoisie and call to set up a provisional workers and peasants government, backed in the armed rank and file committees!
